Transcription/Translation Test on Thursday 3/17!!

What will be on it?

  • 10-15 multiple choice questions on various topics
  • Several questions using the genetic code.  You should be comfortable using the code.  I will ask you to go from code to amino acid sequence, amino acid sequence to code, and I will have you do some type of mutation in the code and write the results
  • A question on the idea of epigenetics.  Make sure you understand the main points of the video.
  • A long question describing the process of translation.  This will be like the questions you have had to do listing the processes of mitosis, meiosis, and DNA replication.
There is a review sheet in the document section of my website and it basically lists the IB syllabus points.  Make sure you at least read through them!!!
