The Week of 9/24-9/28

• Mon 9/24:  Finish checking off Leaf structure worksheet.  Go outside and collect 10 different types of leaves.  Return to class and draw them, labeling all important features, paying attention to vein pattern, stem, textures, colors, etc.
• Wed 9/26:  Posters and Tests back.  Notes on roots and stems.  Introduce Seed Germination Lab.  Review requirements for IB labs.  Start seed germination pre-write (due Mon 10/1) and/or finish leaf drawings.   Continue reading Chapter 35.
• Fri 9/28:  Growth in plants, primary and secondary. Water transport/transpiration.  Start reading Chapter 36.

This week-end:  Work on your Seed Germination Lab.  Do some trials and figure out what you want to do.  The pre-write is due Mon 10/1 and the final lab is due Thursday 10/11 Friday 10/19.
